Bioficial Heart From
Louisville
Louisville researchers believe they
are 10 years away from creating a
bioficial heart by replicating a person’s
own fat cells using a 3D printer. Since
the cells would come from the own
patient’s body, no anti-rejection drugs
would be necessary. Research is led
by Stuart Williams, executive and
scientific directory of the Cardiovascular
Innovation Institute; a collaboration
between the University of Louisville and
the Jewish Heritage Fund for Exce
