Healthcare ’ s Big Disruption : Healthcare Present
As we emerge from what we hope is the worst of the pandemic , how are healthcare leaders coping with the impact of these experiences ? Was the worst of the personal trauma limited to just facilities in the hardest hit cities in the U . S .? Has it been easy for leaders to rebound from their ordeal or has stress and anxiety lingered ? In a recent survey ( see Appendix ) of more than 900 healthcare leaders across the U . S ., HealthStream asked leaders to reflect on the impact of the pandemic and to assess where their organizations are today .
The results are sobering . More than 80 % of healthcare leaders reported that the pandemic has been at least somewhat devastating to their organization .
