With the formation of the Comprehensive Spasticity Management Clinic , University Orthopedics now offers a multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach to spasticity treatment that is unique in Rhode Island and Greater Boston . While the causes of spasticity vary , we most often treat spasticity that is the result of stroke , multiple sclerosis , cerebral palsy , and spinal cord or brain injury .
In another New England first , UOI recently became the only practice offering next-generation imaging with the EOSedge platform . By obtaining highly accurate patient data at a significantly lower radiation dose , this new system enables UOI providers to make better informed clinical decisions while also prioritizing patient comfort and safety .
