These courses provide a basic foundation for understanding intravenous treatment options for vascular access device selection and usage . Each one of these courses are necessary for clinician knowledge and for applying evidencebased care practices . Subjects include : vein anatomy , assessment , selection and various legal aspects of documentation and guideline application to establish a broad base of understanding . A specialty certificate is awarded at the completion of the series .
