Kerry, thanks for sharing your story.
What brought you to HealthQuest?
In 2015, I went to my doctor after
feeling something unusual near my
arm. I had just turned 44, with two
young daughters, and no family history
of breast cancer. I was in shock. I had
a mastectomy of my right breast and
two of the 11 lymph nodes surgically
removed were cancerous.
What helped you through the worst days?
My amazing family, friends and boyfriend, my faith, and the cancer
support group, Sharing our Strength. I discovered HealthQuest
through my involvement with the group, and I’m so happy I did.
Did you have reconstructive surgery?
No, I’m not sure when I will. But since being fitted at HealthQuest
with an Amoena breast form, I live an active life – I’m a parent
helper with my daughters’ volleyball teams – in total confidence
about how I look.
What was the fitting experience like for you?
Empowering. I now have three Amoena breast forms. One of
