Self-concept is protective of depression, obesity, and poor behaviors, like substance abuse and violence. Because of this, a person is shielded from the negative mental image of himself or herself, and has a better self-worth. I recommend this to students, mostly because they are very stressed and insecure and need to remember that there is a solution to their problems, which is exercising and other physical activities, like sports.

Self-concept, where p.e. is not inept

It has been proven by science that physical activity helps in the self-concept and self-esteem of a person. Because of possible weight loss and a newly-unleashed drive to get fit, one becomes confident of his or herself. There is a high chance that the self-harm rate will decrease, if they will start looking at themselves in a different way, and what better way to do that, than to eat and strategize?
