MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE
As a medical laboratory scientist, you’ll identify sources of disease and determine
the validity of data that allows physicians to diagnose patients. Whether analyzing
blood and tissue samples, matching blood types, looking for cellular abnormalities,
or identifying parasites and bacteria, you’ll help make a difference in people’s lives
through real-world problem-solving in a clinical lab.
Program Highlights
• GMercyU’s 3+1 program allows you to graduate with a bachelor’s degree and the
preparation needed to gain certification as a medical laboratory scientist (MLS) by
passing the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) boards
