What you can do
u Don’t stop drinking
water. Some people with
incontinence may limit their
fluid intake to avoid accidents,
but not drinking enough water
can cause dehydration, which
is particularly harmful for
older adults.
u Limit alcohol, coffee and
tea, both caffeinated and
decaffeinated, as they can
aggravate incontinence.
u Perform pelvic floor
(Kegel) exercises.
