Example of one unethical procedural is that, scientists must first “…extracting DNA from the person receiving the transplant, that DNA is inserted into an enucleated egg. After the egg (now with the donors DNA) begins to divide, the embryonic stem cells are harvested. These are the cells that can be developed in to any type of cell. Those cells can then be grown into the complete organ or tissue for the donor and will be a full genetic match (in theory). This organ cloning would eliminate the need for anti-rejection drugs than can cause some many problems with donor recipients” (cloneorgans.com). What the quote doesn’t explain is that after the process, there is now a dead fetus. So people may see it as, kill a human, to help another human.

Another example of an unethical procedural that can come from organ cloning is called xenotransplantation. This process involves using genetically modifying pigs, which are used to match the organ to whom needs the organ transplant. This is unethical because why should we kill a living organism for just their organs. As a side note, many people who’ve studied cloning also say “Cloning is unnatural because it separates reproduction from human sexual activity” (Madigan, Timothy J). The quote gives additional information on why organ cloning is unethical.

Also, this country’s leaders are against cloning. One president stopped all foundations going to cloning, “President Clinton offered the opposite view when he issued the ban on human cloning. Rather than seeing cloning as human destiny, he rejected it as "playing God." Whether or not we think it is wise to take our theological cues from either of these individuals, what are we to make of the proposed destiny justification itself? Is human cloning in line with God's purposes for us?”(Kilner 1). This is an example of how a previous president, also noticed that this practice was unethical, thereby he stopped the funds going towards new research in cloning. So scientists then had to find privative parties to help with funds to be able to continue research on cloning.

Many religious people are also against organ cloning because it gives scientists too much power, almost making them into Gods. Scientists should not have nearly as much control of making a living organ, that’s God’s job and strictly his. Numerous attempts to end cloning is for this very reason, scientists are playing Gods role, by cloning and making similar human organs. People believe it is unethical to do so and it is going against religious beliefs. Some say scientists are redoing what God has already created. A reading from the bible explains how every human shouldn’t be cloned, refers to Gen 1:27: “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Now man wants to improve on this to make a new species in our image. The difference is God breathed in life directly into man who was made from the earth. Isa. 45:12 God says, I have made the earth, and created man on it. I-- My hands-- stretched out the heavens, and all their host I have commanded. For Col. 1:16 states of Jesus Christ “principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him” (letusreason.org). These are just some parts of the bible that clarifies why humans/scientists should not interfere with what God has already created. Scientists will soon look at themselves as if they had the equal power in which God has, this is another reason why there shouldn’t be any practices involving cloning. Interference with nature and what God has created should not be interfered with; his work should not be duplicated.

Religion also had a major impact on Presidents Clinton’s decision on whether or not continuing the funding for cloning here in the United States. He too was a religious man and ended the funding for cloning due to the fact that scientists shouldn’t have the ability to corrected God’s work, as previously explained. A poll was taken and according Time/CNN, asking “Is it against God’s will to clone human begins?” and 74% of Americans that voted answered “yes” to the question (Shermer Michael). This goes to show that not just a president believes that cloning is going against God, but also a majority of Americans believe so too. There should be limits to how far scientists can go with science and seemingly they are pushing the limit to almost taking God’s part. Soon, people will start looking at scientists as gods, if people do not put organ cloning to an end.

The nature life cycle is also interrupted, when organ cloning is being done. God has already planned our birth and death, so giving scientist the ability to clone interrupt God’s plan.
