Botox
Question: What else can Botox be
used for besides smoothing the
forehead?
Dr. Shadan Naji, Dermatologist responds:
“Botox can be used to smooth all wrinkles that
appear due to muscle movement so it can be done
around the eyes to smooth wrinkle in this area.
In addition, Botox can be used on the lower part
of the face. Botox can smooth the fine lines on
the upper lip usually called smokers lines. On the
jawline and neck, we can use Botox to create better definition of the jaw area and give the patient
more elevated stretched neck. Finally, we have to
mention that Botox is considered as a very good
solution for patients who have Hyperhidrosis especially in the armpit area but also it can be used
for hyperhidrosis on other areas of the body such
as palms and soles.”

Gadget Attachment
Question: My son seems to be
addicted to his gadgets though
otherwise he is a very good student.
How do I limit his online screening
time and is it beneficial to do is?
Dr. Saliha Afridi, PsyD, Clinical Psychologist
responds:
“There is such a thing as electronic addiction.
It is absolutely critical that you manage screen
time. Research shows more than 2 hours a day
can result in children experiencing symptoms of
anxiety, depression, and inattention. Encourage
him to engage in ‘unplugged’ activities, which
may mean that you need to spend more time
with him doing activities together at first. He will
struggle being away from electronics at first but
stick to it and new behaviors will form.”
