Health Innovation Week 2017 - Digital Magazine hiw_digital_magazine_2017 | Page 48
“The need for innovation is
at the core of our drive for
improvements in healthcare
quality and patient outcomes.
The showcase is an opportunity
to see first-hand what is
possible. At the heart of
these technologies are the
opportunities made available
to positively impact patients’
lives and to support and
improve patient safety.”
Our fantastic partners make Health
Innovation Week possible. If you’re
interested in participating in any
way next year, please do talk to us.
Health Innovation is always
going to be crucial to tackling
the big challenges – our role is
to facilitate, nurture and engage
with that innovation to build a
better health service. Sharing our
ideas, collaborating and inspiring
each other is how we grow. With
the patient at the centre health
innovation can change lives, and
can make our health services
better.
Simon Harris,
Minister for Health
THANK YOU!
The journey isn’t over, it’s just
started and I hope you’ll stay with
us for it. Collaborating and learning
together we can build a better
health service
A closing address from
Jane Carolan.
Interim CIO of the HSE &
National Director Health
Business Services, HSE
In opening Richard spoke about
the goals of Health Innovation
Week. Those goals were surpassed.
My challenge is to build upon this.
We have committed to holding
Health Innovation Week again in
2018. The team is already excited
about how they can improve but
they’re always keen to hear from
you about that.
.....EHEALTH IRELAND WILL BE ENABLING
So many people make Health
Innovation Week happen that
it’s impossible to name each
and every one of you. Clinicans,
academics, HSE staff, volunteers
from partner organistations,
patients, all of you who visited and
participated in our events. The
contributions each and every one
of you make help to build a better
health service. Thank you!.
