Tougaloo College Delta HealthPartners Healthy Start Initiative celebrated “An Evening Out for Moms and Dads” with a free community baby shower. The celebration of this event took place on Monday, October 21, 2013, at the Old Greyhound Bus Station in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The start of the event began with games and door prizes for moms and babies. This event consisted of free car seat safety checks, car seat safety education, health education, safe sleep education provided by the SIDS Alliance, and music by local blues singers - Super Chicken and Razor Blade - who provided entertainment free of charge. There were over 200 participants that made this event a success.
