WHAT’S ONE TREND THAT IS CHANGING YOUR SPECIALTY TODAY?
“In the past, facelifts have made people look wax-like, artificial and pulled. It’s exciting to be a part of the new wave of plastic surgeons who know how to perform a more graceful, natural-appearing and refined result. Surgeries are no longer a huge undertaking with drains, hospital stays and significant downtime. Patients now have the option of having plastic surgery under local anesthesia with minimal recovery time. Patients used to be wary of surgery due to fears associated with anesthesia; now that is no longer an issue. If going under the knife is not an option, a non-surgical liquid face lift can restore your natural facial contour and lift the skin to reduce wrinkles, lines and folds.”
HOW DO YOU GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY?
“I am very active in community outreach and philanthropic programs that help the underprivileged. Women’s health is extremely important to me. I serve on the board of directors of Rainbow Services, a domestic violence agency that provides shelter and assistance to women and children dealing with family violence. We want to recruit as many professionals as we can to serve as ambassadors for the shelter in the greater South Bay community—volunteering their time and talents to the shelter. I am also an active member of Sandpipers, an all-women’s nonprofit philanthropic organization that is dedicated to serving the needs of the South Bay community through charitable and philanthropic programs. It is an excellent organization with very dedicated members.”
