I am doing this writing to answer a question that keeps bothering my mind and the question has to do with the quality of lives of people. I think deeply about the human existence and struggles everyday to determine how people can live a happy and a good life. I think about why people don’t have the good life they desire. I think about what’s stopping people from achieving their dreams and personal fulfillment especially Christians. These have been the questions bothering my Mind for years. So, what you are about to read in this writing is a result of a long search, study, thoughts and careful observation and conclusion. As I begin to share with you my findings, let me start by saying that the most powerful weapon that man possesses is thought. There is nothing as powerful as the thoughts of a man. Man’s thoughts are more powerful than the enemy’s works against him. In other words, what counts in life is not what the enemies are doing but what man is thinking. The power of a man’s thought is more powerful than the power of the enemy. I say this because in this part of the world, Nigeria and Africa at large, almost everyone is religiously inclined to believe that the reason for the state of their lives is the enemy. But the thoughts of man are magnets that draw to him the contents of those thoughts. If the contents are positive, he receives positive outcomes and if negative, he receives negative outcomes. The devil doesn’t have the power to determine people’s outcomes or fate in life that power is with man himself. And that power is his thought. What the devil does is that he uses man’s thought power against him by projecting negative thoughts into his mind to influence the way he thinks. The devil understands that man is the way he thinks and that he determines the issues of his life by the way he thinks that is why he’s constantly seeking getting into his head. Let me support my claim by quoting from the wisest and oldest yet the most recent book ever written -the Bible. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart so is he…” Also Proverbs 4:23 says, “keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it Spring the issues of life”. These two statements are evident enough to prove that the course of a man’s life is determined by the way he thinks in his heart. A man is simply his thought and as he continues to think so he remains. According to the book of life, the Bible, you produce or create the outcomes, fate and conditions of your life. Circumstances are created within and not without. Man is a creative being. He creates things from his thoughts. Our world is filled with the evidences of man’s creative potential in the things he has created like cars and other magnificent objects. Because man has creative energy or force, he also creates his own destiny by the way he thinks whether consciously or unconsciously. A man’s entire life will gravitate towards the direction of his dominant thoughts because that is the signal he keeps sending into the spirit realm and the spirit realm will move according to the signal it receives. The power that shapes and creates conditions whether good or bad lies within a man. This age-old truth is one of the greatest discovery of our time yet majority of
