That is not just a simple decision and act of obedience. That is perfect submission. He submitted His will to the will of God. He did not do that out of compulsion, He did it out of love. His overriding force and ambition at all times, was love.

Jesus Himself lost so that we could gain. He submitted Himself to the original intention of God's creation, for man to be reconciled to God in order for them to become united, to fellowship as One.

What did Jesus lose as a result of perfect submission?

Jesus was a Servant - He washed His disciple's feet and served a bankrupt humanity for free

Jesus was a Shepherd - Leading by love and protecting unto death

His Deity - to become totally human

His Dignity - He was put to shame

His Life - He was put to death

His Will - not My will, but Thy will be done

His Clothes - He hung naked on a cross

His Body - He was whipped and marred beyond recognition

His Wealth - He became poor

His Breath - He gave up the Ghost, His Spirit

His Sight - He had to lose focus and set His sight on becoming sin

His Light - He became darkness

His Spinelessness - He who knew no sin, became sin

His Glory - He became God's judgment

Even God knows how to submit! For God SO LOVED THE WORLD, that He gave up HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON…. John 3:16

What does the Bible say about submission? There are many Scriptures and applications for God's intention and instruction in this regard:

This is a list that you can study in your own time:

Eph 5:22 Wives to Husbands

Heb 13:17 Christians to Leaders

Jam 4:7 Christians to God

1 Pet 2:13 Christians to Government

1 Pet 5:5 Christians to Elders

Eph 5:21 Submit one to Another

I believe that only a person fully submitted to God, is able to be in submission, by love, to another human being and even to Christ. A man or woman who loves God, knows how to submit one to another. Without the love of God, submission is simply just rebellion. A forced labour of love that soon loses its lustre and replaces itself for the lust of control. Submission is not an art. It is an act. It is so simple to submit to Christ when we understand what He freely did for us! That knowing and persuasion in our heart alone generates the fuel of love to give submission its perfect enablement.

MY QUESTION TO YOU TODAY:

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO LOSE IN ORDER TO GAIN? BECAUSE IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS, THAT FULLY DEFINES THE COMMANDMENT OF SUBMISSION, GOD'S WAY.. LOVE SUBMITS.

For My ways are Higher than your ways

And My thoughts Higher than your thoughts.
