In Christ Jesus God has empowered His children to change their lives on earth. And this is why spiritual growth is the key to a life of dominion, peace, joy and prosperity in the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God operates by principles or laws and when a child of God is ignorant of these principles or laws, he becomes a victim of the enemy and subject to every form of attacks, assaults and harassment from the children of darkness. Many are running helter skelter for solutions in wrong places and in the process make the shipwreck of their faith and become captives of herbalists in suits. Even though God has empowered them to solve their problems by themselves, they have become a deliverer looking for a deliverer. What a tragedy!

See, every failure, defeat or poverty of any child of God is traceable or proportional to ignorance or lack of knowledge. There is a rest for your soul in Christ Jesus that comes via learning from Him. Jesus said: “Come to me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29)

Friend, if you want to find rest for your soul, learns from Jesus by personally studying and meditating upon the word of God. Grace and peace are multiplied to you via the knowledge of God (2 Peter 1:2).

God’s kingdom operates or runs by divine principles. One of such principles is that in the kingdom of God, empowerment precedes commandment or assignment. For instance, Jesus empowered the apostles to cast out demons and heal the sick (Matt.10:1) before he sent them out to heal the sick and cast out demons (Matt.10:5-8). In the old covenant, the same principle was in place. Saul was anointed as a king over Israel in the secret before he was publicly presented as a king (1 Sam.10:1-7).

See, God will not command you to do what He has not empowered you to do. He would be unjust, cruel, wicked, a taskmaster, a dictator and a tyrant to command you to do what He (God) has not empowered you to do. The fact is that if God has placed a demand on you to do something, it means He has already empowered you to do it. If now you cannot do it, it means that you have refused to use the ability or power he has given you to do what He actually wants you to do.
