Grief : Our Loved Ones Go Back Home Love is the key

It was around 1:45 am in the morning as I stood next to my father who was lying on the hospital bed as the nurse put a few drops of water into his mouth . She pointed towards me and asked my Dad “ Is that your son ?” My dad nodded slowly and his body went limp . The duty doctor tried CPR on him and moments later my father had passed over . This was my first experience of someone close to me passing over and was my first real exposure to grief and sorrow .
Ever since I was a kid I always wondered what happens when one passes over . Do we go to heaven , purgatory , hell or just disappear ? During the last 25 years I have been reading spiritual books , attending courses , meditating and talking to people all over the world .
I was in my late thirties when I was woken up early in the morning by a phone call . It was my brother calling to tell me that our dear sister had passed away . She was only in her early forties and had ovarian cancer . We lived in two different countries and I had just spoken to her a few days ago . It was a big shock for me .
