I met ‘Gunilla Hamne' during the first training that Dr. Johnson and she had
with orphans of the genocide in 2007. When “I” got certified as a Trauma
Tapper I was free.
“Without TTT I don’t know if I would be alive today. You know in 1994 I lost all
my family. I did not feel good. I could not sleep in the night. I was crying a lot.
I couldn’t do anything to help myself. I couldn’t think about future. I didn’t like
to go back to university. In fact I was feeling lonely all the time and my body
was very weak.
The tapping treatment has changed many things in me. Now I can sleep. I
have no more headaches. No more crying; I have gone back to university and
my body is much stronger. I can laugh now. I will do TTT wherever I go!”
Today Mukamurigo is in her late twenties and has finished studies in
tourism at a university in Kigali. She has opened a restaurant big
enough for wedding ceremonies in a highly populated area of the
capital. She loves receiving the guests. You can tell from her smile.

Trauma Tapper
She was one of the first to get training in TTT by
Dr Carl Johnson and Gunilla Hamne in 2007 in Kigali,
Rwanda. She is now finishing her studies at the
University of Hotel and Tourism. Being an orphan of
the genocide in Rwanda 1994 she knows very well
what trauma is and how the TTT can help to get out
of the psychological problems that often follow such
experiences.
“This method is very good because you can help also
those who have a lot of problems but do not want to
talk about it.”
