making any cut or harming the

it in a bowl or even show that
black mucus or tar like pieces
to the patient before
discarding it. 

Such feats of sucking out a
diseases from a patient's body
using a straw or a tube may
sound like some mumbo
jumbo or even ridiculous to
most of the western rational
thinking individuals who find such feats logically and scientifically impossible,

modem world are still few & sparse. Irrespective of the actual physical
healing, the most important help they provide to the masses is of hope and
guidance to handle the harshness of day-to-day life in the barren cold
stretches of this rugged hilly terrain.
       The most inspiring part of this tradition is that all
this healing, guidance and help is provided by the
Oracle without the anticipation of any monetary or
material gain. Any offering that an individual makes
out of free will and reverence is purely optional and
its quantum or value in no way effects the way the
Oracle treats and addresses ones issues.
This one thing makes this institution so revered by
the common masses, as it aims to serve one and all
without any distinction of caste, creed, religion,
status etc. That's the reason the Oracles, who are
part of the Buddhist tradition are not just sought by
the local Buddhist population but also by the
followers of other religions like the Hindus & Muslims
