covered it with a masking tape and continued driving. What would have happened, if I had not reduced my speed and had not slowed down? It’s the same with our negative feelings. We can temporarily smoke them away or eat them away, but they will always come back. The negative feelings are just trying to get our attention; to look at what we are thinking and believing. The negative feelings are coming from our unconscious limiting beliefs and they are like little children wanting our attention. If you don’t give a child your attention, it will scream louder. So, to ignore our feelings by suppressing them or ignoring them will not make them go away. They will come back stronger. As a 5 Path®hypnotist, I work together with my clients using advanced hypnosis techniques, where we “safely” allow the negative feeling to come up and then follow the feeling back. The feeling takes us back to similar events in the past until we get to that initial event where it all started. The feeling is like a “master key”, it unlocks the door to the unconscious and reveals the limiting beliefs which are the root cause of our negative feelings. The limiting beliefs were formed in the early years of childhood. As children, we had no logic or reasoning and believed everything we saw, heard and felt. Once we get to the initial event, I work together with the client to clear any misunderstandings and misinterpretations which became “illogical” conclusions in the innocent mind of their younger self. As the client is in a highly suggestible state, the new truths and wisdom will replace the old subconscious misunderstandings and misinterpretations of their younger self. We get the younger self to feel loved, safe, secure and empowered. The younger self, absorbs these new insights and understandings, thus neutralising the old false conclusions; which had become part of their limiting belief system. Now with new insights and wisdom gained, the younger self gets new empowering beliefs installed in the subconscious mind. As the subconscious beliefs change, the feelings change. We test out the new feelings by getting the younger self to revisit similar life situations from their past, but this time feeling empowered with feelings of love, safety and security. We also test out the new feelings by going forward in time, into similar situations in the client’s future. As the feelings of the younger self
