commoner or a King, a weakling or a superhero, Angels and Demons. No
one is beyond the words.
Bhartiya (Indian) Vedas and Puranas are full of instances where the power
of blessings and cursing power of spoken words is demonstrated. Like
Parasurama’s curse on Karna (you will forget your knowledge when you will
need it most) since he lied to his Guru. And thats exactly what happened.
Similarly lord Shiva’s Boon to Arjuna. Which came true completely.
[“Death and life re the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its
fruit.                                                                                          Proverb 18:21]
Bible too is full of references to the power of blessings and curses. Curse of
Plagues on Egyptians; and curse of C an, Curse of Ham etc are few
example that stand out to establish the power of words with intent.
So history has established and witnessed the power of ‘Words’. The
question is who can bless and curse and what makes mere words such
powerful instrument of creation and destruction.
Well we all have this power for we all are the sparks of ‘The Source’. Yet, its
the level of one’s awareness and practice of “Truth” in thoughts and
words and action, which raises our vibrational level that defines the
potency of our words and intent.!
Every blessings or curse that one utters costs a lot of one’s energy and
accumulated ‘Karma’
Blessings and curse both are a double edged sword ! They effect the one
uttering those words as much as the one who gets effected by that. As
therapists many of us come across cases where a curse may be effecting
our client’s life and the only way to heal such situation is resisting and
healing that part of us through forgiveness apology and acceptance. Here I
recall an interesting case of my fellow hypnotherapist, where client a couple
married for several years had yet not been blessed by a child, though they
eagerly wanted one and were physically fit in all medical tests and check
ups. After few unsuccessful attempts at IVF they decided to go for a
hypnotherapy session to explore answer to this issue of childlessness. It
came out that they had been together in previous lifetime too, wherein they
had been cursed by the girl’s father who was the Guru/master of the man.
since he was not in favour of marriage. After they sought his forgiveness,
healed the curse and receive blessings of the father during the session, the
couple was blessed with a beautiful healthy child, in a next few month’s that
too naturally without any external medical help!  
Such incidences and many others go on to establish the everlasting power
of our words for it may not just effect current life but many other lifetimes, at
times even generations. So mind your thoughts, your emotions and your
