“Phowa" from Ancient Tibetan Masters”
Phowa : Phowa is a Vajrayāna Buddhist meditation practice. It may be
described as "the practice of conscious dying", "transference of
consciousness at the time of death", "mindstream transference", or
“enlightenment without meditation”
We often hear a phrase that, We create our reality or that our thought draw
and attract the events and people around us. So in a way we manifest what
we think!
In my July 2018 article I mentioned about the Buddhist death ritual called
‘Phowa’ wherein a trained master/ Lama/ monk/ Practitioner guides his own
consciousness or aid an individual consciousness at the point of death to
leave the confines of the physical body and merge with the realm of Light.
The concept and its practice fascinated me and in the past few months I had
Pondered over a lot about it always wondering that how it would be to talk
and know about ‘Phowa’ from someone who has mastered it………….
Now I would say as the universe put together my desire, in its mind. It started
to work on it. and how its plan worked out.
Recently while travelling I got a chance to visit High Himalayan Region. There
as luck would have it. I happened to meet a gentleman who too was staying
at the same hotel, in the room adjacent to mine. In few days and several talks
over coffee and Dinner we discussed about many things. On knowing that I
am a clinical hypnotherapist he eagerly asked for a session to help resolved
the persistent tingling and thumbing sensation in his head which at times very
painful too.
Once we settled for our session he shared that since last few years he had
this problem. He went through CT scan and MRI everything but nothing is
wrong according to his report.
An additional interesting correlation was that this pain and tingling/ thumping
