True.. 15. Please explain hypnotherapy in your words. There are many challenges when it comes to measuring hypnotherapy and creating a research paradigm that would elevate it to the level of a science.  We do not even have a good definition of hypnosis as a starting point - something which is paralysing research efforts.  That’s a shame.  It means that hypnosis is rarely taught to psychology undergrads who are scientists. On the other hand, the basis of a great deal of the language of hypnosis is actually found in formal logic and transformational grammar.   In that sense, I consider hypnosis to be a branch of philosophy.   Perhaps we could say that it fits into the school of General Semantics. Hypnotherapy (the way I practice it at least) is the application of logic and metaphysics to psychological problems. Thank you Matt.
