At the National Headache Foundation, we are happy to report that the comments we received were positive about the new format of HeadWise. Thank you for sharing your comments with us. We also want to remind our readers that you can access the digital version of HeadWise at the Foundation’s website, www.headaches.org. In addition to the magazine, you can read our e-newsletter, NHF News to Know, or view the podcasts of our bi-monthly chat rooms. If you would like a printed version of the newsletter, please contact our office at 1-888-NHF-5552 (1-888-6435552). We are also promoting our objectives of public education and raising awareness of migraine and headache through social networking on Facebook and Twitter. We also encourage you to regularly check our website for news and information about headache and the NHF. For example, the video, Legacy, produced for presentation at the NHF gala, Fête de Masque, can be viewed at the website. If you, a family member, or friend are looking for a physician who treats headache in your geographical area, please review our Physician Finder on the website. In fulfillment of one of our mission goals, the NHF is pleased to announce that for 2013, we will be granting $250,000 in support of research into headache causes and treatment. Some of the funds have been delegated for research into hemiplegic migraine. The award recipients will be announced in December. These research funds have been supported in part by grants from the Libby Fund as well as the Walter S. & Lucienne Driskill Foundation (Ronald L. Barnard, Esq., Executive Director).
