Reaching Our Oldest Adults through Cannabis Education
Dr. William Troutt, NMD, medical director for Trulieve, gave a talk on aging and wellness with cannabis. He explained how the ECS system works and how to boost your ECS in addition to cannabis medicines, such as healthy eating, sleep hygiene, and movement. It was very informative.
Participants were grateful for the chance to attend the event and reported feeling much more confident about their medical cannabis knowledge.
St. Louis Oasis Class
On March 10, 2026, BeLeaf Medical, in partnership with St. Louis Oasis, will host a cannabis-for-wellness class. In the 90-minute class, topics such as delivery methods, dosing, drug interactions, and more will be covered. Watch for sign-ups at www. stloasis. org.
BeLeaf Medical / SWADE / SINSE is very excited about this class because it will be the first cannabis-for-wellness class at its newly opened event space, The Church on Delmar, at 6166 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO, situated above SWADE Dispensary in the Delmar Loop. Groups can now utilize this space for consumption and non-consumption events. True to the community-building values of SWADE Cannabis, this space will emphasize local partnerships and intentionally function as a neighborhood resource. It’ s a new and exciting way to connect people to cannabis and empower adults to choose their own wellness tools!

St. Louis Oasis is a part of a national network called Oasis Institute, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people over the age of 50. Oasis chapters offer lifelong learning on a multitude of topics, as well as local volunteer opportunities for members.
