The ins and outs from the social housing world
This issue is a special one for us at Housing Executive however, as our first conference, Housing Executive: Future Foundations is on the horizon. Future Foundations will be taking over Bolton Wanderers Stadium on October 6th, offering an exhibitors hall filled with some of the most innovative solutions available to the sector today, and an agenda delving into some of the defining issues in social housing. Our cover story will be delving into our agenda in detail, and outlining the 12 conversations that will guide Future Foundations throughout the day.
We’ ve also got included inside this issue our full list of finalists for the Housing Executive Awards 2026, which has seen a record number of submissions. The awards this year will take place following the Future Foundations conference, and we can’ t wait for another year of celebration in honour of

In other stories, we discuss the rise of for-profit housing providers, research advocating for the role of occupational therapists in uniting health and housing, and the urgency of ensuring that our social housing stock is prepared to face the consequences of climate change.
You can find the full details of Future Foundations at the Housing Executive website, including our agenda, timetable and ticket page. Enjoy the issue, and we shall see you in Bolton!
