These programs provide educational opportunities to young
lawyers so they can expand their knowledge and hone their
practical and legal skills, and also understand the importance
of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Finally, if you simply want to connect by networking with
other attorneys, the YLD offers Health and Wellness events,
Quarterly Happy Hours, Quarterly Luncheons, the Judicial
Pig Roast, the Annual Golf Tournament, and the Annual
Cornhole Tournament. Last year’s Golf Tournament sold out
and we are expecting the same again this year. So be on the
look-out for announcements regarding registration and
sponsorship opportunities for the Tournament soon.
This list is meant to provide a flavor of the many ways
young lawyers can get involved. In fact, the YLD always
welcomes new ideas and ways to give back, so if you have new
ideas, please share them!
To learn more about the work of the YLD and upcoming
events, or to find out how to get involved or volunteer, please
like the HCBA Young Lawyers Division page on Facebook,
follow us on Instagram @hcbatampabayyld, or visit our
website at hillsbar.com/group/yld. I look forward to having
you as a part of our great organization and helping us
continue to make a difference this year! n
