before the courts. It provides a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas leading to the improvement of individual trial abilities. It also seeks to assist the courts in establishing methods for the more certain and expeditious administration of justice. We also advise various committees on rules regarding desirable amendments to improve and standardize judicial procedures. The Section further seeks to instill in members of the HCBA generally a desire to increase their effectiveness in the courtroom and in chambers with a view toward better service of the interests of our clients and the cause of justice. Importantly, it seeks to foster a spirit of cooperation and civility among trial lawyers so that their responsibilities to clients and to courts will be discharged in an efficient, orderly and courteous manner.
As we all know, our legal practices are continually evolving, and it is essential that all lawyers understand the landscape of trial and litigation with the impact of Artificial Intelligence, virtual tools, data management, and other technological advancements. We hope your involvement in the Trial & Litigation Section will help you embrace advocacy in a variety of forms to improve your practice areas and professionalism.
