about the Cover

The Tampa Bay area has a rich military history. This Bar year, President Matt Hall is highlighting some of that history on the covers of the Lawyer magazine. On this first issue, we are featuring two great photos showing some of the types of military planes that have graced our skies. The first historic photo shows an Air Corps biplane flying over Tampa City Hall during the Air Maneuvers of 1938. The second features a modern-day KC-135 Stratotanker flying over the Skyway Bridge. Both photos are courtesy of Stephen Ove, Historian, 6th Air Refueling Wing, at MacDill Air Force Base. You can read more about the history of our very own MacDill Air Force Base at: https:// www. macdill. af. mil / About-Us / History /.
