about the Cover

MacDill Air Force Base( AFB) Golf Course, today called the Bay Palms Golf Course, has a rich history that dates back to the early 1940s when the base was established. The Course was originally built in 1941 and has since undergone numerous renovations and improvements to provide a top-notch golfing experience for service members, their families, and civilians. The course features 18-holes and spans over 220 acres of picturesque landscape, offering stunning views of Tampa Bay and the surrounding area. The South Course is one of the most scenic and challenging courses in the Air Force.

The golf course holds a special place in the hearts of many service members and veterans who have had the opportunity to play there over the years. In addition to its scenic views and challenging layout, the MacDill AFB Golf Course has hosted a number of prestigious events and tournaments over the years.
