On May 14, 2025, the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit held its Annual Circuit Pro Bono Service Awards Ceremony to recognize attorneys, a paralegal, and an organization who provided outstanding pro bono service in 2024. The ceremony was hosted by the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee and Bay Area Legal Services Volunteer Lawyers Program. The event was organized by Awards Committee Co-Chairs Tori Simmons and Antina Mobley, along with Committee Administrator nery Alonso. The ceremony was presented by sponsors Cole, Scott, & Kissane, P. A. and Zuckerman Spaeder, LLP.
Individuals providing 20 or more hours of pro bono service were recognized with pro bono lapel pins. The Pro Bono Committee, headed by Chair Judge Darren Farfante and Vice-Chair Judge Wendy DePaul, also recognized those who made outstanding contributions
