On the cover of this issue , we are highlighting the highest Court in the State , the Florida Supreme Court , located in the State ’ s capital , Tallahassee . The Florida Supreme Court moved to its current location , the Supreme Court Building , located behind the State Capitol , in 1949 , with extensive renovations to the building and a new color scheme completed in 1990 .
Oral Arguments of the Court are held August through June and are typically scheduled during the first full week of each month . No appointment is necessary to observe an argument . Seating is first-come , first-served , but the courtroom only fills to capacity during very high-profile cases .
