at the Amalie Arena , and a day with Tampa Fire , Rescue , and Police . Additionally , the group will be encouraged to meet for social events throughout the Bar year to foster friendship and engagement .
The group will have the opportunity to meet with established leaders in the community at events such as the Bench Bar Conference and Luncheon , and a meet and greet with local bar association
leaders . Alumni of the BLI are excited to return to impart their wisdom and experiences with the new class at the Alumni Cocktail Event marking the halfway point of the program .
Sean Stephens , an Assistant Public Defender practicing at the felony level at the Hillsborough County Public Defender ’ s Office , attended both events . “ The orientation was a great opportunity to meet such a unique and diverse group of attorneys . I think I speak
for the entire class when I say we all look forward to learning more about each other ’ s strengths in the upcoming Bar year .”
The first module , which took place in October , allowed the class to sit in a City Council meeting . The group is excited for the year ahead . n
