was sold out with 108 golfers . All proceeds support the HCBA YLD ’ s programs and initiatives and allow the YLD to function as a self-sustaining division of the HCBA .
In November , our Pro Bono Committee hosted our annual Pro Bono Luncheon , bringing together ten community organizations to discuss available pro bono opportunities for our young lawyers . At the end of the luncheon , attendees were able to sign up with the pro bono organizations of their choice .
We have so many more exciting events to come in 2022 , so if you haven ’ t signed up to be a member yet , it ’ s not too late . The Member Services Committee is busy planning wellness events , the Coffee at the Courthouse and Judicial Shadowing Day , and the YLD tent for the
5K Pro Bono River Run and Judicial Food Festival on March 26 . The Professionalism and Ethics Committee is planning the second annual Good Trouble Book Club with WMU Cooley Law School and will host the State Court Trial Seminar in June . The Youth Projects Committee is planning its fun and engaging events to benefit underprivileged kids in the community . The Law Week Committee will coordinate classroom speakers , courtroom tours , and the Robert Simms Mock Trial Competition to help educate children in the community about the legal system . And our Events Committee will continue planning fun events for our members to meet and enjoy networking and camaraderie .
