about the Cover

Continuing with our theme of celebrating the history of the local legal community , we are highlighting a unique photo from the Burgert Brothers historical photo collection . The photo is from 1920 and shows Judge John C . White presiding over a swearing-in of a jury at the Hillsborough County Courthouse of that time . The Burgert Brothers Photographic Collection of about 19,000 images presents a pictorial record of the growth of Tampa Bay and Florida ’ s West coast from the late 1800 ’ s to the early 1960 ’ s . The collection is available online at https :// hcplc . org / research / burgert .
