Hazleton Area Business Citizen
Editor’s Desk
Entrepreneurial spirit is a quality that everybody in business possesses to some
degree. Just going into business ensures that the person taking that first, big step has
a modicum, at least, of entrepreneurial gumption. But those who have the spirit to
really move and grow a business beyond the usual are those who really give the
word entrepreneur its distinctive meaning.
Marlin Duncan, the owner of the coordinated in-home care company Comfort
Keepers in Hazleton, is one of those true entrepreneurs. In The Interview this month,
the ideas of growth through active management, innovation, and inspiration come
across as some of the reasons why Marlin is accurately described in that way.
The good fortune for Hazleton is that there are many others besides Marlin who
have that same entrepreneurial spirit. These are the people who view challenges as
opportunities.
Inspiration is a key aspect of creativity not only for the entrepreneur but also for the
artist. Bruce Brazzo, the featured artist this month, uses both painting and sculpture
as vehicles for his inspiration. His abstract works provide an insight into a profound
sense of color and depth.
The Hazleton Area Business Citizen is inspired by the abundance of talent that the
Hazleton Area has to offer, both entrepreneurially and artistically. The magazine is
published monthly online and in print and is distributed to business people and
professionals throughout the area. The online version of the HABC is accessible via
www.citpublish.com. Click on the HABC link.
