Do You Know?
1.) The Cinema & Drafthouse, located at 31 West Broad
Street in West Hazleton, is the only movie theater within a
twenty-five mile radius screening unique and artistic films.
C&D recently hosted “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” one
of this year’s major critical successes.
C&D is also the only movie palace in Northeast
Pennsylvania where an audience can enjoy good food and
beverages. Patrons can choose to sit at two or four person
tables or at a counter. Once seated, moviegoers can peruse
a varied menu selection and then place their orders.
C&D evolved from the former Hersker Theater. The
alterations to the space changed it, yet remained faithful
to the theater’s original design.
Every month the Hillman family (the current owners
and operators) show second run features, but more
importantly gamble with more esoteric and locally
unscreened movies. There is a new screen and an
improved sound system.
The Cinema & Drafthouse awaits and richly deserves
your attendance.
2.) Fathom Events can be viewed at RC 14 in WilkesBarre, Cinemark Theater in Moosic, and the Bloomsburg
Cinema Center.
What are Fathom Events? You may well ask this
question.
The answers are: big screens, big sounds, and
big entertainment. In addition to live on film HD
Metropolitan Opera performances, Broadway shows such
as Memphis and The Nance, and the upcoming musical
from England, Tim Rice’s From Here to Eternity in
October, viewers will also discover concerts and sporting
events.
Fathom Events provide audiences with the best seats
in the house, in the comfort and convenience of the
previously noted movie theaters, for live and pre-recorded
concerts, world-class opera, comedy acts, and original
programming. The viewer receives great entertainment at
affordable prices courtesy of Fathom Events.

5.) Retrovision is a website for rare television and film
cult classics that updates its holdings twice a week. The
site claims to be run and operated by some of the biggest
film aficionados in the United States. They promise
to produce quality products for the company and the
customers.
Brannon Carty (one of Retrovision’s founders)
immersed himself with movies since his childhood.
He attributes his fascination with films to the summer
blockbuster Jaws (1975). Following his viewing and
researching film upon film, rare or readily available, from
collectors around the globe, Carty saw something pleasing
about these long-lost films. The concept of Retrovision
was born.
Retrovision Entertainment collects and restores cultclassic films and television shows to their original heyday
for the entertainment of those who possess a passion for
film.
Hopefully you will have many new viewing
experiences ahead of you by exploring these alternative
