Greater Hazleton’s Business & Arts Magazine The Review Alexis J. Neapolitan, Jr. Do You Know? 1.) The Cinema & Drafthouse, located at 31 West Broad Street in West Hazleton, is the only movie theater within a twenty-five mile radius screening unique and artistic films. C&D recently hosted “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” one of this year’s major critical successes. C&D is also the only movie palace in Northeast Pennsylvania where an audience can enjoy good food and beverages. Patrons can choose to sit at two or four person tables or at a counter. Once seated, moviegoers can peruse a varied menu selection and then place their orders. C&D evolved from the former Hersker Theater. The alterations to the space changed it, yet remained faithful to the theater’s original design. Every month the Hillman family (the current owners and operators) show second run features, but more importantly gamble with more esoteric and locally unscreened movies. There is a new screen and an improved sound system. The Cinema & Drafthouse awaits and richly deserves your attendance. 2.)
