MOVING UP CEREMONY The purpose of the Moving Up ceremony is to accord honor and respect to the 4 th grade class in a dignified manner. A student, who successfully completes the elementary school program, including all obligations to the school, will participate in the Moving Up program. Students who are chronic disciplinary problems may not be allowed to participate in the Moving Up ceremony.
A student may be denied the opportunity to participate in the Moving Up program for any of the following reasons: o Excessive absences and lateness‘ s( please refer to the attendance policy) o Excessive suspensions from school o Fighting / physically assaulting another student or staff member o Undesirable conduct on a school sponsored trip or activity o Possession of a weapon
Parents / Guardians are advised that the above is only a partial listing of the reasons to exclude a student from the Moving Up ceremony. The school and Principal reserve the right to exclude any student for any other actions that would be construed to dishonor or discredit the Moving Up class.
