Hear! Hear! Thanks Lions!
Hawkesbury Bells Line Lions Club
announced on April 27 it was were
very pleased to donate a
Lions Sound System through Lion
Hearing Dogs to Freeman’s Reach
Public School at their school
assembly.
The school principal, Mrs Grace
Palmara, was delighted with the
donation.
“I am so excited about receiving
this, and I sincerely thank Lions for
their generosity,” Mrs Palmara said.
“We have two pupils with hearing
impairment and another student will
commence school next year, this will
be so wonderful for these pupils.
“Not only will it help in the
classroom, but at assemblies and our
Cross Country Run which is coming
up shortly.
“Lions do so much wonderful work
and we do appreciate all that you
do.”
The system uses frequency
modulation (FM) and teachers wear
microphone and
broadcast directly to pupil’s hearing
aid receivers which each child can
adjust for a clear reception.
Teachers speak at a normal
level and children with hearing
difficulties can focus and concentrate
more easily.
The system is portable
so can be moved
