Hawkesbury Bells Line Lions Club announced on April 27 it was were very pleased to donate a Lions Sound System through Lion Hearing Dogs to Freeman’s Reach Public School at their school assembly. The school principal, Mrs Grace Palmara, was delighted with the donation. “I am so excited about receiving this, and I sincerely thank Lions for their generosity,” Mrs Palmara said. “We have two pupils with hearing impairment and another student will commence school next year, this will be so wonderful for these pupils. “Not only will it help in the classroom, but at assemblies and our Cross Country Run which is coming up shortly. “Lions do so much wonderful work and we do appreciate all that you do.” The system uses frequency modulation (FM) and teachers wear microphone and broadcast directly to pupil’s hearing aid receivers which each child can adjust for a clear reception. Teachers speak at a normal level and children with hearing difficulties can focus and concentrate more easily. The system is portable so can be moved
