Review by Greg Martin
When you’re on a good thing, stick
to it!
Elsewhere in this edition you
will find me quoting the inimitable
Groucho Marx and I just can’t help
myself by repeating one of his most
famous one-liners to begin this
review.
“I sent the club a wire stating
‘Please accept my resignation. I don’t
care to belong to any club that will
have me as a member ‘.”
Groucho though would think twice
about forwarding such a letter if he
was a member of Windsor RSL Club!
The Tooth Fairy and I did that
voodoo that you (and we) do so well,
in dining at the club’s comfortable
Fork Brasserie on Anzac Day night.
Despite the staff having put in
a long day due to the Anzac Day
breakfast at which they prepared
and served umpteen meals, our
evening was most enjoyable due to
the continued quality of the food and
competent and friendly service.
Steve Keaton took over the reins
the as club’s catering guru three
years ago and he has assembled
a kitchen and wait staff which has
seen the club develop a deserved
reputation as a great place to wine
and dine.
