CHEESE OF THE MONTH Cremeux D’ Argental

A lusciously soft cheese with a white mould rind perfect for brie lovers.
It has a smooth, consistent texture and well rounded creamy flavour – sure to please any crowd. Cremeux D’ Argental is produced in the Rhone-Alpes region of France. This cheese matures very slowly. It matures to show an oozing cramy texture with delicate mushroom flavour notes. As it ripens it will become silky and spreadable with a hint of nutty sweetness. The Flavour of Cremeux D’ Argental is enhanced with dried apricots and a glass of champagne or a crisp white wine.

WHERE ARE AUSTRALIAN CHERRIES GROWN? Over 40 % of cherries are grown in New South Wales. Young, Hillston, Orange and Bathurst areas. Other significant growing regions include Victoria( 27 %) particularly around the Dandenong Ranges and Goulburn Valley near Melbourne; South Australia( 17 %) at the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Riverland area; Tasmania’ s, Huon Valley and Derwent Valley grow( 14 %), and Western Australia in the elevated southwest region grows( 1 %) of the annual production.
