TALKS & SEMINARS JANE AUSTEN TALK MONDAY 15 DECEMBER, 10:30AM- 12PM Celebrate 250 years since the birth of Jane Austen in 2025 with a special event at the Library. Susannah Fullerton, president of the Jane Austen Society of Australia and one of the country’ s leading literary historians, will present an engaging talk on all things Austen.

EXHIBITIONS & DISPLAYS RAAF DISPLAY UNTIL JANUARY 2026 Celebrating 100 years of the RAAF at Richmond. This exhibition will highlight pieces from the Hawkesbury Regional Museum collection and the Library’ s Local Studies Archive.

RODDA COLLECTION UNTIL MARCH 2026 A display of historical Hawkesbury images captured by amateur photographer, Frank Harvey Rodda 1862-1933. A lover of nature, he photographed many local scenes plus people and buildings. He was married to Emily, daughter of astronomer, John Tebbutt. In the 1980s, his daughter Louise Chapman donated a selection of his glass plate negatives to Hawkesbury Library.

EXHIBITIONS BRIDGING THE HAWKESBURY / DYARUBBIN: THE HISTORY OF WINDSOR BRIDGE Features never before seen images and original objects from the bridge shown for the first time.
IMPRINT: STORIES FROM THE ARCHIVES Imprint: Stories From the Archives highlights stories of lesserknown and underrepresented locals that have left an imprint on our historical records. This changing display draws from the Hawkesbury Regional Museum’ s archival collection, and features historic photographs, documents, and more.
COME & VISIT! NGARRA NGURANG / PLACE OF LEARNING Aboriginal learning garden now open. Ngarra Ngurang / Place of Learning is a living space that celebrates Aboriginal knowledge, local plant use, and deep connection to Country. Created in partnership with the Dharug Custodian Aboriginal Corporation, Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury, and Dharug community members.

EXHIBITION POSTWORLD 6 DECEMBER- 8 MARCH POSTWORLD features artists and collectives who create parallel universes in their creative practice. Audiences are invited into playful, sublime, poetic and cautionary explorations in contemporary works and installations. Drawing on the detritus of the human epoch, these worlds have their own internal iconographies and languages existing in alternate time and space.
POSTWORLD is a touring initiative co-curated by Kate O’ Hara and Daniel Qualischefski, developed by Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts( Umbrella), commissioned by NAFA and toured by Museums & Galleries Queensland( M & G QLD). This project has been assisted by the Australian Government’ s Visions of Australia program and by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
