Electric vehicle( EV) ownership in the Hawkesbury region is about to get a major boost with the installation of a 180 kW DC fast charger at the newly developed Redbank Village in North Richmond. Operated by the Exploren public charging network, the station will be one of the few publicly accessible DC fast chargers in the local area.
This exciting addition marks a significant step forward for the region, which has long lacked convenient high-speed charging options. Located within the vibrant new retail precinct and positioned near The Butler’ s Pantry by the scenic waterfront boardwalk, the charger will offer both convenience and lifestyle appeal. From September, EV drivers will be able to grab groceries at IGA, enjoy a coffee, or explore a variety of specialty shops while their vehicle charges.

charger in the Redbank Village has been well known for its reliable and user-friendly network across the country. Drivers will be able to easily locate, activate, and monitor their charging sessions via the Exploren app.
The new fast charger will feature two CCS2 ports and support nearly all modern EV models. With a powerful 180 kW capacity, most vehicles will be able to charge from 20 to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes- meeting growing local demand and reducing wait times through rapid charging turnover.
