ANZAC SERVICES 2025 RICHMOND WAR MEMORIAL
The Richmond RSL Sub-Branch will once again hold its ANZAC Day March on Sunday, 13th April 2025, commencing at 2:30pm. The procession will proceed along West Market, Windsor and East Market Streets, concluding at the Richmond War Memorial in Richmond Park.
The march will be led by the Light Horse, veterans in jeeps, and the Hawkesbury District Band. They will be followed by contingents from the Richmond RSL Sub-Branch, Windsor RSL Sub-Branch, the National Servicemen’ s Association, Descendants of Veterans, RAAF Base Richmond, military cadets, and local community groups including Scouts, Guides and school children.
The ANZAC commemoration ceremony will commence at 3:00pm at the Richmond War Memorial and will feature the traditional Catafalque Party, keynote addresses and the laying of wreaths by veterans and community representatives.
Members of the community and families are warmly encouraged to support the occasion by lining the streets of Richmond to watch the march and honour those who have served or are currently serving our country. Descendants of veterans are especially invited to participate in the parade and, if they have medals belonging to their relatives, may wear them on the righthand side.
ANZAC Day will also be commemorated with a Dawn Service on Friday, 25th April 2025, beginning at
5:00am at the Richmond War Memorial in Richmond Park. This solemn service will include the traditional Catafalque Party, keynote speeches, and the laying of wreaths by veterans and community groups.
Covered seating will be available for dignitaries, veterans and older family members, who are kindly requested to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the commencement of each service. All members of the local community are most welcome to attend and participate.
The Richmond RSL Sub-Branch deeply values the contributions of all veteran and community groups who take part each year and lay wreaths in remembrance of those who have served. Families, descendants and individuals are also warmly invited to lay private wreaths in honour of their loved ones, past and present.
The Richmond RSL Sub-Branch, in partnership with the Richmond Club, holds in the highest regard the service and sacrifices of our past and current military personnel. Together, they are committed to ensuring that all service members receive the recognition, respect and acceptance they deserve.

We would like to encourage members of the community and their families to attend this Commemoration and line the streets of Richmond to support the procession in recognition of those who served and those still serving for our country.

Members of the public who are a descendant of a former Veteran, of any conflict, are also invited to participate in the March wearing the medals of their Veteran, and / or carrying a photo or displaying the name of their Veteran.
ANZAC DAWN SERVICE
The community is invited to join members of Richmond RSL Sub-branch in solemn observation of the Dawn Service at 4:45 for a 5am start at the Richmond War Memorial in Richmond Park.
