Seniors Week is back , and runs from 13-16 March . This year ’ s theme is ‘ time to shine ’ and there are some special seniors features on p22-24 . Still on seniors , the 2025 Richmond Veteran Golfers ’ ( RVG ) annual Legacy fundraising tournament is back . The club are hoping to exceed the $ 13,000 raised at last year ’ s event .
Council presents an update on the 10 WSIG projects , supported by $ 98 million from the state Government . Ovals , cycle ways , parks and recreation centres , to name a few , are progressing within budget . Some projects will need new designs , p4 .
The Capturing the Spirit of the River photography competition had over 600
HDI entries which indicates this inaugural event has been a huge success . Winners for six categories were announced and there were some remarkable entries depicting the Hawkesbury-Nepean river , p11-12 .

Local nurse and champion swimmer , Michael Payne , is right on the edge of becoming the youngest male in the world to complete the prestigious Oceans Seven swim challenge , and we are so proud of him !!!
This formidable young man , who can spend 17 hours at a time swimming in brutally rough oceans , has completed some of the most punishing swims in the world and is currently training for his next one .
