We were fortunate enough to catch up with the delightful Yasmine Chalmers , Windsor RSL ’ s Community Engagement Manager , to discuss the club ’ s ongoing community work . Windsor RSL has always been known for its strong ties to the local community , and we wanted to give Yasmine a chance to share more about the club ’ s sponsorships and initiatives .
“ Sharpen your pencil ,” Yasmine laughed , before diving into the details . “ Giving back and being part of the community is something we are extremely passionate about .”
She went on to highlight the club ’ s efforts to support the local community groups , non for profit and sporting organisations . “ Last year , the club contributed $ 300,000 towards the NSW ClubGRANTS program , which supports community development , programs and infrastructure projects .
Yasmine added that the club ’ s

generosity has benefitted 30 local charities , sporting clubs , and community groups . One of the notable recipients of these grants is the Jeremiah Project , a local organization dedicated to supporting those in need .
“ The support of Windsor RSL ’ s club grant has enabled us to feed , clothe , and provide essential items for many people in the Hawkesbury ,” said Jacky Turano , founder of the Jeremiah Project . “ Whether it ’ s a homeless individual or a struggling family , the financial contribution has truly blessed the community . We are all about bringing hope to a lost , lonely , and broken world by being a light to all who cross our path .”
Windsor RSL ’ s commitment to local community support remains stronger than ever , and its continued efforts play a crucial role in improving the lives of those in need across the region .
ClubGRANTS is one of Australia ’ s largest grant programs , providing more than $ 100 million in cash each year to a variety of worthy causes across NSW . Charities , sporting organisations and not-for-profit community groups are among tensof-thousands of worthy causes funded through the program each year . The program is a collaboration between local clubs and the NSW government and

plays an essential role in community development by providing much-needed funding for projects that directly benefit the local population .
One remarkable example of Club Grants approval from Windsor RSL is the community impact in the First Aid for You initiative , which partnered with Windsor Park School to deliver essential first aid courses to students in Years 5 and 6 . This proactive approach ensures young students gain life-saving skills and the confidence to act in emergency situations . It ’ s a fantastic way to empower the next generation with practical knowledge that could one day save lives .
Windsor RSL consider all applications for funding that aligns with the Club ’ s values and deemed to be of benefit to members of the community . For more information contact our Yasmine Chalmers – yasminec @ windsorrsl . com . au
