Aussie ’ s FREE “ Bushfire Survival Guide ” available from your local Gold Distributor .
Unprecedented fire conditions in Europe and North America indicate that our next summer in Australia is going to be brutal .
Winter rains have meant delays in backburning and have led to an excessive build-up of undergrowth . Aussie Pumps is urging people in our rural Hills and Hawkesbury communities to get prepared now ! The Norwest based company has produced and printed a Bushfire Survival Guide , available free to all residents . The Guide assists locals in working out their bushfire survival plans . It covers the essentials of bushfire protection with equipment checklists , a pump selection guide and maintenance checks .
It also includes advice on how to minimise the risk to animals , troubleshooting self-priming pumps and refers to the new National Fire Rating system .
A quality firefighting pump and adequate water source are key to protecting property . Aussie Pumps introduced their Fire Chief , a lightweight portable fire pump , over 30 years ago . It has been a huge success and is now regarded as the best self priming fire pump of its class . It delivers extraordinary performance , offers by far the best value for money and is backed up by a five year warranty .
Contact your local Hills and Hawkesbury based Gold Distributor for advice and assistance with pump selection , and for your free copy of the Aussie Bushfire Survival Guide . Find their details online at aussiepumps . com . au .

career pathway with Local Land Services
Applications are now open for the third intake of the Local Land Services graduate program .
Local Land Services are looking for the next generation of graduates to continue its important work protecting , supporting and enhancing local communities , agricultural industries and the environment in NSW .
There are 10 positions available for graduates to make a positive impact in the natural resource management , agriculture and veterinary science fields .

Many graduates have been able to kickstart their career through the program , which can open pathways for future positions within the agency .
