This year , the show is being opened by Johanna Griggs , AM who you may know from Better Homes and Gardens on channel Seven and joining her will be Dr Harry Cooper and Charlie Albone .

“ Charlie , Dr Harry and I are the lucky team members who get to attend the show ( everyone wants to be a part of the fun ) and we cannot wait to come and enjoy everything the Hawkesbury Show has to offer . For me personally , to have been given the honour of opening such an important event on the show calendar , but more importantly , such an important community event with so much history .... is something I feel very privileged and excited to do .” Johanna told us .

Johanna , Charlie and Dr Harry will be getting involved in different parts of the show which will be filmed and go to air on channel Seven in June . From speaking to local growers , judging animal competitions and learning how to decorate a cake , they are going to see the best the Hawkesbury has to offer .

“ We ’ ll be showcasing the characters , the competitions , the incredible produce , the animals , and wonderful skills that so many people who take part in the Hawkesbury Show will have on full display . There are so many elements of a country show that slot straight into the heart of what Better Homes and Gardens is all about , and we can ’ t wait to share the stories from this magnificent show with our broader audience .”

If you want to try and catch the trio at the fair , Charlie will be on one of the floats in the parade as well as getting a demonstration on how to grow a bonsai from a young expert .

Dr Harry will be telling us how to get your alpaca ready for show day and checking out the bunny hopping and pet sheep and goat fancy dress competitions . Johanna , along with opening the show , will be speaking to the Show Ambassador , Jill Burgess , and all of them will be checking out the form of the pigs for the pig racing .
