Female althletes join Wolves ’ pack

Windsor Wolves ’ Rugby League Administration Manager , Dean Jones , sported a smile wider than Sydney Heads after hosting a Greet and Meet barbecue for prospective girl players in the upcoming 2024 season .
The Wolves ’ fielded an under 15 years team last season – those players step up to the Under 16s in ‘ 24 , and going on the numbers of youngsters who attended the barbie , the club will also field an Under 13 ’ s outfit .
“ The Meet and Greet was to commence at 4pm and five minutes before that we had about six or seven girls in attendance but then came a swarm of girls and their parents ,” Dean said .
Dean was particularly pleased with the number of youngsters who intend playing their first season of footy in the under 13s .
“ The players and parents had the opportunity to meet the coaches , Reegan Frary , who will put the polish on the Under 16s , and Nathan King , who will be at the helm of the Under 13s ,” Dean said .
“ We explained to the children and parents that at Windsor
Wolves , the name of the game is having fun and that both coaches have the welfare of their charges upper most in their minds .”
Both teams commenced Monday evening pre-season training at the end of November prior to having a break over the Christmas -New Year period before getting back into it at the end of this month .
Both teams are each in the fortunate position of having promising players sporting Wolves colours next season .
Ava Doolan , who boasts a ton of pace , lines up in the centres in the Under 13s and the skilful Chloe Panman , who starred at five-eighth last season , will fill the same possie this year in the Under 16s .
Ava shone playing League Tag last year and such was her form she was chosen to represent Sydney West in the State Championships .
Chloe ’ s form throughout the ’ 23 season earned her selection in Penrith Panthers ’ Lisa Fiaola Development Squad .
