I wondered what may be in store for us this year so typed ‘ interesting facts for 2024 ’ * in my browser . Up popped lots of interesting things , some you may be familiar with , such as the meteoric rise in Artificial Intelligence ( AI ), the continued advancements in renewable energy or the mass planting of trees in the African deserts . What I wasn ’ t ready for was flying cars or lunar holidays …
Well , back to the Hawkesbury and we don ’ t have to go to the moon to have fun this summer ! Council is putting on a wonderful event to mark 26 January , Australia Day on the Hawkesbury 2024 . Fun and action for all the family , and the scenic river will be a focal point , p12 . RAAF will again be doing a fly-past , and on a lighter note , don ’ t forget to pop into council ’ s tent and put your name down for

With Australia Day covered , the rest of the holidays is also taken care of ; Hawkesbury Central Library , Gallery and Museum have workshops galore to keep you and the kids busy , p26 .
